staged a Benefit Concert for
the Haiti Earthquake Victims with friend and young opera tenor Jonah
Hopton.
All of the donations will be sent to Haiti through the American Red Cross
Society.

Category of the Mondavi Young Artists' Competition,
a statewide competition in California.

honor was bestowed on her for being the Top Prize Winner in the ECYS Piano Concerto

Rieko
won 1st prize in the
Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition. The winners
recital was held in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Rieko
won the El Camino Youth Symphony Competition and will perform with their
Symphony Orchestra in the 2009/2010 season.

Rieko
was the 1st place winner in the MTAC solo
piano competition representing Northern California. She will compete for
the state finals in July.

Mayumi and
Rieko both won scholarships in the
Marin Music
Chest competition in the senior division.

Mayumi &
Rieko have been chosen as semi-finalists,
out of several hundred video submissions, in the KDFC Classical Star
Search Competition.

3/8/2008
Rieko, for the first time
competed in the
Marin Music
Chest and won a scholarship. The event took place at San Anselmo’s San Domenico School
Concert Hall.
She will play a “Winner’s Concert” May 4th, details on the
Concert Schedules page.
Mayumi
in The Luna Trio plays Carnegie Hall:
Sunday February 24th, Mayumi in The Luna Trio played Carnegie Hall in New
York City. It was videotaped for National Public Radio's "FROM THE TOP"
television show. It will air nationally on PBS television stations
later this spring.

Rieko plays Bernard Osher 's 80th
Birthday Celebration
What an honor! Rieko was chosen by Bernard Osher
to play at his amazing 80th Birthday Celebration September 9th,
held at SF MOMA. It was an extravagant evening filled with passion filled
performances and laughter. His esteemed guests flew in from all over the
world to attend. From
The SF Chronicle's Leah Garchik's
column. "Two
young students pianist Rieko Tsuchida and cellist
Tessa Seymour dazzlingly performed, followed by Adler Fellow
Melody Moore, a soprano in need of a tenor for a duet.
And then out of the audience came Placido Domingo, the
evening's surprise guest." Wow!

program hosted by Jane Cormier while attending the
wonderful
Heifetz International Music Institute in
